John Adams was a family man first and a businessman second — and that order was never an accident. He came up through retail the right way: working alongside family, learning the floor before he ever touched a spreadsheet, and carrying forward the belief that every store he walked into was somebody's livelihood, not just a set of numbers to optimize. That perspective never left him.

After nearly twenty years at RMSA — where he became a Regional Director and earned a seat in the Presidents Club five times — John founded The A Circle in 2003 with one non-negotiable principle: no long-term contract. Just a handshake. If the work was good and the results were real, the client would come back. That was the only agreement he ever needed. It was the same standard his family had held, and it was the standard he built this firm on.

Over forty years, John helped independent retailers across the country manage over $20 million in annual inventory — not as a vendor, not as a software tool, but as a trusted advisor who showed up every month and treated every client like a neighbor. His methodology is what this firm still runs on. His values are what his team still carries.
